In other words the question is asking what is one way you could understand the title. For example: "Was it a Dream" could be understood as a story about a young girl making a mistake in her life, and when she wakes up one morning she believes it was only a dream. Until she went outside and started walking to school and noticed everyone was giving her dirty looks and calling her nasty names. She then realized that this awful mistake wasn't a dream, it was reality. Another example: "Was it a Dream" could also be a story of a young boy who loves playing with his toy sharks. He always wondered what it would be like to be a shark, and one night he saw a shooting star "I wish I could just be a shark for one day". As he woke up the next morning he felt cold, as he opened his eye he was surrounded by tiger sharks, just like his toy. He spent the day swimming through the ocean and feeding off his favourite meal, fish. Then at the end of the day he swam into a reef and fell fast asleep. The next morning he woke up to his mom standing in front of him saying "Come on sleepy head, wake up", he then noticed, it was just a dream.
