OpenStudy (ineedhelp10):

ill post it here in a bit, hold on please

OpenStudy (ineedhelp10):

if ghjk=24 and ghkl=0, which of the following must be true? a) \[g >0\] b)\[h >0\] c)j=0 d)k=0 e)l=0

OpenStudy (ineedhelp10):

my answer was E. L=0 is that correct? @mathstudent55

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

j and k cannot be zero bec it would make the first product zero. That eliminates choices c) and d)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

We don't know for sure g>0 or h>0 bec in each case we don't know what the other variable is, and we need a positive first product. You are correct. The only thing we know for sure is \(l = 0\)

thank you so much for your time!
