This poem describes a train as if it were a horse. Which lines uses imagery to describe sound of a train? "In horrid, hooting stanza," "And lick the valleys up" "I like to see it lap the miles" "Then, punctual as a star,"

in horrid, hooting stanza

I would say "and lick the valleys up". It gives a visualization in one's mind. Then again it would have been more helpful if you had provided us with the poem :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say the hooting one, when it says lick the valley i literally think someone is licking part of a valley

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol well at least it creates an image in your mind o-o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True point haha, just the wrong one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ Exactly :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks haha
