How does Telemachus respond to Antinous's reply in the assembly? He defends his mother's virtue against Antinous's suggestion that she is playing "fast and loose" with the suitor's hearts. He directly threatens Antinous. He insists his father is alive, and therefore he cannot condemn his mother for not remarrying. He replies that he would face consequences if he forced his mother out of her home.
