The space between the plates of a parallel plate capacitor is filled with two dielectrics slab of dielectric constant k1and k2 . If the capacitor is charged to a potential V then at the interface between the two dielectrics , tell about the continuity and discontinuity of Vector E and Vector D ( displacement vector)

This may be a little bit beyond my kin :P.. but.. m sure @Vincent-Lyon.Fr would be able to answer this!
General rule is: Component of \(\vec E\) parallel to the boundary is continuous. Component of \(\vec D\) normal to the boundary has the discontinuity: \(\vec D_{n2}-\vec D_{n1}= \large \sigma_{free}\) where \( \large \sigma_{free}\) is the free surface-charge applied on the boundary. Since the problem does not mention such free charges added between the slabs, then normal component of \(\vec D\) must be continuous in your problem.
