OpenStudy (quickstudent):

20 is what percent of 36? How do I find the answer?

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

Is it 55.55555555555556 ?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

20=(x/100)*36 Solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you wanted to get rid of the fraction couldn't you multiply the entire problem by 100 and have: 2000=100x*3600?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AravindG isn't that right?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Yes but after multiplication 100 on right side gets cancelled off

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i do this stuff better on paper so i might screw up every once in a while

OpenStudy (aravindg):

its okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya cause now im looking back over it and when you multiply x/100 by 100 it only cancells out the /100

OpenStudy (aravindg):

x/100*100=x

OpenStudy (anonymous):
