Find x if f(x) = 2x + 7 and f(x) = -1. -4 -3 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, Substitute -1 in for f(x) so you will have -1=2x+7

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf {\color{brown}{ f(x)}} = 2x + 7\qquad {\color{brown}{ f(x)}}=-1 \\ \quad \\ thus\implies {\color{brown}{ -1}}= 2x + 7\) solve for "x"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Subtract 7 from both sides and get -8=2x, Divide by 2, and Get -4=x c:
