In the us constitution what is the principle "separation of power"

Separation of powers limits power in branches of government, or any person with power. A prime example of Separation of Powers is that all three branches of the government, executive, legislative, and judicial are all separated and cannot directly influence or alter any of the decisions made by another branch.
