Should students be required to take fine arts courses (music, drama, art, etc.) to graduate from high school?

Yes!! They should take more than what is required. It exercises a different part of your brain and helps people have different perspectives on things and helps keep people well rounded and creative and not robots! I think It is so important to have music, art etc. in peoples lives, it is a language that everyone speaks and can connect with strangers where ever they go. :)

Going off of what samsonite said, singing and playing musical instruments can greatly improve critical thinking skills and as I'm sure you know there are two sides of the brain, left and right. We use one side for speech and a different side for singing and music. I work at a occupational and physical therapy center and one of the children there is a stroke victim and she can no longer talk but she is able to sing and make music because that part of her brain was not effected. It's pretty amazing what the brain can do with music.

yes, bc then they can see what all of the kids who love it, what we really love so they can stop bulling us too.
