It will affect a lot of the local species. Whoever eats the rabbits will have to find another food source or their population will dwindle, and animals that feed on those will be affected as well, etc. Animals don't really clear ground for other animals or have a symbiotic relationship with anyone so mostly their predators and the relationships of those predators to other animals will be affected.
