If you were to design a video game to teach students about probability, what would it be like? SO, maybe like a guessing game would work?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

That's one possibility. Another is designing a casino type game since they rely heavily on probability/chance and they are very common out in the world.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

card games yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I like that idea! Would you mind helping me? @jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

What do you need help with?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so maybe something like slots?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I actually might have an idea. Not sure. LOL.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

go ahead

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well never mind, I need help setting it up. I don't understand how to.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok tell me what you need to set up

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

or what you had in mind

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I was gonna do something like a single button that does something. Have a score that counts the amount of right answers. +1 for a right answer -1 for a wrong answer. But doesn't really work.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so it's like a multiple choice test?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As long as it shows how to use probability in the game it's fine does that show it?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yeah I guess so if the person is randomly guessing

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if you had 4 possible choices, and only one right answer, then the chances of getting it right (assuming a random guess) is 1/4 or 0.25
