Simplify the given expression: (-2x2 - 9x + 17) - (16x2 + 17x - 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after doing so many questions. y cant u still do it on ur own??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

show me some of ur work, we are not here to jst provide ans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i added the 2x^2 plus the 16x2 and got -18x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is the final answer i got is -18x^2-8x+18 is this corret

OpenStudy (bradely):

(-2x^2 - 9x + 17) - (16x^2 + 17x - 1) (-2-16)x^2+(-9-17)x+(17+1) -18x^2-26x+18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pls check ur x part of the answer again only that is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@bradely let him do this himself. he almost got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea you add the 9 into 17 x right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (bradely):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank yall

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2xy(3xy3 - 5xy + 7y2) now on this just to make sure i got it right it will be -6x^2y^4+10x^2y^2-14xy^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is correct @thegreatone215 glad that u r working out some on ur own :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you lol

Find p(-3) and p(5) for the function p(x) = 4x4 + 8x3 - 2x2 + 13x + 10. now i know u said try it on my own but this one is confusing

OpenStudy (bradely):

hi first substitute -3 for x

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

just first put -3 in the place of x in the given equation and get the answer and then put 5 in the place of x in the given equation and get the answer

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

P(-3)=4(-3)^4+ 8 (-3)^3 -2 (-3)^2 +13(-3) + 10 now solve yur self

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

same process for P(5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got that part now i got 113,3,373

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that correct

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

no it is not correct P(-3)=324-216-18-39+10 = 61 is the correct answer there (-3)^4 means u will multiply 3 itself four times and then u will get 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 =324

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do yall know a graph website that can graph this f(x) = –2x4 – 2x3 + 4x. cause i gotta find the end behavior
