Dividing a function by an equation: http://prntscr.com/47ldl8

@IMStuck

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Can we use synthetic division? Do you know it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I remember.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

You can either do synthetic division, or plug 3 in for x to see what the remainder is. It's probably easier to do it the second way...by plugging in 3 for x and seeing what it comes out to. Whatever it equals is the remainder.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

\[7(3)^{4}+12(3)^{3}+6(3)^{2}-5(3)+16=\]

THanks!
