HELP!!!!!! Solve 64^x = 16^(x−1) A. x = −2 B. x = −1 C. x = -1/4 D. x = -1/3

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

64x = 16x - 1 (subtract 16x from both sides) 64x - 16x = -1 (combine like terms) 48x = -1 (divide both sides by 48) x = -1/48 is your problem written correctly ?
