So first off I knew that you had to use the equation , SA=L.A+2B LA= 12 and the base would be, 40.5 And then I plugged that in and got SA= 93, Since there are Four triangles, I multiplied 93*4. and got, 372.......

What I would do is find the area of that right triangle by doing 1/2(12 x 4.5) which is 27. Then multiply it by 2, because it fits 2 times on one side. Then multiply it by 3, there are 3 faces. 162.

You don't have to find the surface area of the whole thing, it's just asking for the lateral area, which is just the triangle shaped faces.
