12% can be written as 12/100 Thus 12% of 25 = 12% x 25 ['of' represents multiplication] => 12% x 25 = (12/100) x 25 Now you can 1st divide 12/100 which will give you 0.12 and then multiply with 25 which will give you ans. 3 or you can also multiply 25 and 12 and then divide by 100 and get the ans. But the best way is 1st divide 25 by 100 which gives you 1/4 and then multiply 1/4 by 12 which gives you ans. 3 and also avoids any extensive calculatin
