Write a linear equation: John began his job making $25 the first day. Thereafter that he was paid $6.75 per hour. Use x-values: 0, 20, and 40.

OpenStudy (agreene):

So, x is gonna be how many hours he works, with 25 being the initial constant \[y=6.75x+25\]

Thank you. How would you find the ordered pairs with this equation? I'm totally lost.

OpenStudy (agreene):

to find the ordered pairs you will plug in values for x and find related y value. in this example they give you the x values, so plug them in and find y for each, and then write them as ordered pairs (x,y)
