Victor Malaba has a net income of $1,240 per month. If he spends $150 on food, $244 on a car payment, $300 on rent, and $50 on savings, what percent of his net income can he spend on other things? Don't tell me the answer. Just give me the steps to figuring it out. Thank you

OpenStudy (imstuck):

You need to add up all of his expenses, find out what is left, then find out what percentage that is of his income.

Although @jori456smith already told you the answer even though you said you didn't want the answer... Oh well, right?!

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Plus, 60% is wrong.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

That's good, though, so you can find out the answer yourself. If you have any questions on how to find your answer, maybe another clue or two will help.
