At the start of the Krebs cycle, acetyl CoA reacts with which molecule to form citrate, a six-carbon molecule? Answer alpha-ketoglutarate fumarate oxaloacetate succinate

OpenStudy (agreene):

I hate the Krebs cycle, I always forget it right after I'm tested on it (which has been more times than I can count). I don' t really remember, but look in your text for the cycle diagram and it should show you the answer.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Try to develop a sort of pneumonic to help you remember, it helped me in Biochemistry, and I still remember this: OAA - oxaloacetate.
