Light travelling in water is incident on air refracts at an angle of 27 degrees. What is the angle of incidence? my answer: 37 degrees

OpenStudy (abhisar):

When light goes from a denser medium to less denser medium then it bends away from the normal ray i.e \(\angle r>\angle i\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh would the answer be 20 degrees?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

is there any options ?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

You can use snell's law \(\huge\frac{sin(27°)}{sin \angle r}=\frac{1}{1.33}\)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Now find \(\angle r\)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

it will be 37°. You answer was correct !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay! thanks!
