A company projects its growth with the function g(t) = 3t + 1000, where g stands for growth and t stands for time. This is a linear function. What are the coordinates of the y-intercept?

y-intercept is the point at which the line cuts the y-axis, so at this point, x=0, i.e , t=0
so if t=0, what would be g(t)? that would give you the y-value of that point
so your point would be (0, y-value you got from your calculation)

To find y-intercept, put t = 0
Let y = g(t)
y = 0 + 1000
or y-intercept is 1000.
