FAN and MEDALS!! Y=x^3+2x^2-5 & Y=x^5-4x^4+3x^3+2x^2-x+1 What is the Local Max (s) and Min (s) of those Functions

OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

Graph one on your calculator, then (if you're using a TI 83 or 84 calculator) hit 2nd -> Calc then go to maximum or minimum, click once left of the max/min, click once right of it, then guess, and your calculator will tell you what the max/min is there. Repeat for each critical point I'm not sure, but I think this is the only way to do it besides creating an entire chart of the points on the graph, and just using logic to picture those points and find your maxima and minima.

OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

You can also just graph it and then eyeball what point you think the max/min are at
