OpenStudy (anonymous):

the axis of sym is x=8 for the first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the second its x=-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the third is x=3 therefore the first is larger than the third than the second or f(x), h(x), g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats largest to smallest

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

how did you find them ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h(x) you complete the square and get y=3(x+2)^2+3 which means the vertex is (-2,3) meaning x=-2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for f(x) its in vertex form so you can see the vertex is (8,3) so x=8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nd for the graph you can see from it that the vertex is (3,2) and x=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the x coordinate in the vertex tells you the axis of symmetry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

btw a quick way to remember axis of symmetry of a quadratic in standard form is -b/2a, where a is the first coefficient and b is the second one.
