HELP PLEASE If you shift the quadratic parent function, F(x) = x2, down 9 units, what is the equation of the new function?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

f(x) = \(x^2\) |dw:1406879324947:dw| To shift anything DOWN by 9 units. f(x) - a shifts it down by a units. f(x) + a shifts it up by a units. f(x-a) shifts it to the right by a units. f(x+a) shifts it to the left by a units. Now do you have the answer? :)
