The answer is C
1. How did the invention of the cotton gin affect slavery in the United States? 2.What was the Underground Railroad? Your response needs to include and explain the terms conductor, lines, station, and freight. 3.How did men like William Lloyd Garrison, Reverend Lovejoy, and Fredrick Douglass participate in the abolitionist movement?
lol
@albert......lol....@paki
1.) It prolonged it. Before the Cotton Gin, cotton had to be sorted by hand -- a very labor intensive process. At around the time the cotton gin was invented, slavery was becoming prohibitively expensive for most cotton plantations.
2). The underground railroad wasn't underground or a railroad, it was a secret way of freeing slaves, people would walk from safe house to safe house or to different hiding places on their way to being free black people. a conductor may have been a white person who was helping the slaves, and the stations were the stops they would make along the way
3). Writing, speaking, and recruiting for the movement. Also, working behind the scenes with personal visits to government leaders.
Google solves everything...
