I cant decide between A and d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good question. Let's go through those two choices. I'll try to explain it nice and simple. ----------- In choice A, the verb is "conocĂamos." "ConocĂamos" is an IMPERFECT tense verb. We only use the imperfect when we're talking about something that happened in the past, CONTINUOUSLY. -------------- In choice D, the verb is "conocimos." In this case, "conocimos" is a PRETERITE tense verb. We use the preterite, when we're talking about something that happened only ONE TIME. -------------- Let's look at the sentence: "We met the new girl." We mean to say that we met the new girl, ONCE. Not continuously. We only met her ONE TIME. You get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because you can only meet a new person one time. You know?

OpenStudy (mia99):

oooh so it is conocimos

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

Thank You!!!
