please I need help. I will fan and medal!!!!!! can someone explain to me exponential functions in a short easy way???????????
easy way then... exponential functions... .have an exponent :) that was very easy
An exponential function is when a base number, for example 2, is powered to the variable, for example x. As a result, as x gets larger, the function will get larger and larger at an unbelievable rate. When x = 1, f(x) = 2, when x = 4, f(x) = 16, when x = 10, f(x) = 1024, etc.
well I don't get them how they are used
oh that makes sense @dcabeche
and thanks for the link @jdoe0001 it helps too
well and exponent to a value , increases it greatly so an exponential function, is a way to represent non-linear growth that is, growth or increase/decrease that changes one factor much faster than another an example of that will be ... say a person's growth from age 8 to age 15 or 17 , people grow really tall really quick in just 7 years or so you'd notice someone who was 8 years and 7 years later, they're 4 feet taller now... when they're say 20 to 50... no growth there.. .welll the belly grows.. but that's horizontal =)
yeah of course that makes sense. can u put that in exponential function for me so I can understand it a little more better?? and lol those bellies grow big in that time
some elements rate of change or growth, which is non-linear, can be mapped to a pattern corrrelated to its previous value thus the new value is an exponential value.... thus it can be represented like so certain plant's grow for example or bacteria grow or say the space shuttle speed as it leaves the stratosphere, in order to counter gravity's pull
yeah makes sense. thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
