2x/2x+1 + 1/2x+1

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Same idea as before. In this case, the denominators are both 2x+1 so we can add the numerators over the common denominator and simplify. \[\Large \frac{2x}{2x+1} + \frac{1}{2x+1}\] \[\Large \frac{2x+1}{2x+1}\] \[\Large 1\] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, \[\Large \frac{2x}{2x+1} + \frac{1}{2x+1}\] simplifies to \[\Large 1\]
