It means keep it on topic. ;p The topic would be ideas for my LaTeX Tutorial.
it means dont write things that dont have 2 do with this question
or post
okay

Any feedback on that annoying thing?? XD
what happened?
What do you mean what happened? :p I made the title for my tutorial, I'm just looking for feedback, like what can I do to make it better?
More glitter.
i thought something happened xD
Glitter?? XD

XD
Hehe
Question... So in the live preview, the \(\LaTeX\) looks fine, but then I post it and some goes down to another line.. Why? @e.mccormick
so pretty xD jk
\(\large\cal\color{red}{*}\color{gold}{:}\color{lime}{・゚}\color{cyan}{✧}\color{blue}{*} \color{purple}{:}\color{blueviolet}{・゚}\color{magenta}{✧}\) You can use ^ and _ to get more assortment in those. \(\large\cal\color{red}{^*}\color{gold}{^:}\color{lime}{^・゚}\color{cyan}{^✧}\color{blue}{_*} \color{purple}{_:}\color{blueviolet}{_・゚}\color{magenta}{_✧}\) And there are other characters. ☆゚.*・。゚✲❄*
O-O you're telling me that I can make them higher or lower??
I was told that \(\LaTeX\) didn't have that option. :o
they lie :o
Well, by mixing in some super and sub script you can make the positions less uniform and more glitterific. The margins are different on the live preview. You may notice that when you type, it fits under your profile pic. But when you submit, it indents the entire thing over the width of the profile pic.
Awesome! And yeah, I've noticed. It's kind of annoying, actually. :p
Are they gonna fix that?
Doubt it.
Aww, that's sad. (ノД`)\(\normalsize\color{blue}{・゜・。}\)
\(\large\cal\color{red}{^*}\color{gold}{^:}\color{lime}{^・゚}\color{cyan}{^✧}\hspace{-2.3em} \color{purple}{_:}\color{magenta}{_✧}\color{blueviolet}{_・゚}\color{blue}{_*} \)
So by playing with hspace or rlap you should even be able to do dense glitter.
\(\Large\color{red}{^A}\color{gold}{w}\color{lime}{_S}\color{cyan}{O}\color{blue}{^M}\color{purple}{E}\color{blueviolet}{_!}\)
Erps, I forgot the e XD
I knew about hspace and rlap, but when I asked about making text higher or lower, I was told that it's not possible in \(\LaTeX\) to do that.
Super and sub script, there is also vspace in pure \(\LaTeX\): http://www.maths.tcd.ie/~dwilkins/LaTeXPrimer/WhiteSpace.html And if you use TikZ you can do even more.
vspace \(A \vspace{2em}B\) oops hspace \(A \hspace{2em}B\) works `\\[2em]` \(A \\[2em]B\) works `\\[-2em]` \(A \\[-2em]B\) oops
So vspace doesn't work on OpenStudy?
Exactly, but you can use \\[space value] to get aorund it if you need a custom line spacing that is larger than normal.
Hmmm.... I wonder if super small would work. \(A\\[.001 pt] B\) Nope... just adds, not replaces.
Isn't that the same as using hspace?
Where that is really helpful if you are doing calculations with fractions. It adds a little space between lines so they don't bump into each other: Next to each other: \(\dfrac{A}{B}\) \(\dfrac{A}{B}\) vs line between: \(\dfrac{A}{B}\) \(\dfrac{A}{B}\) vs `\\[.5 em]` \(\dfrac{A}{B}\\[.5 em]\) \(\dfrac{A}{B}\)
hspace is horozontal space. \\ is a return and lets yo add space to it, so sort of vspace.
Oh, hmm
Adding a `\\[.25em]` to your big boxes: \(\hspace{0pt}\bbox[12pt, greenyellow,border:1px solid greenyellow]{\huge\cal\color{black}E}\\[.25em]\) \(\hspace{0pt}\bbox[11pt, orange,border:1px solid orange]{\huge\cal\color{black}L}\\[.25em]\) \(\hspace{0pt}\bbox[11pt, cyan,border:1px solid cyan]{\huge\cal\color{black}R}\) Which can help keep things from hunning into each other as much.
so technical xD
running...
Oh, and can you make them closer? xD I actually intended to have the boxes touching haha
Nope. Can't make them closer.
>:c
That's pretty cool though that you can change all that stuff. (: So many choices, so many designs... Hehe. :3
xD you going to start a new one?
now?
Nah still testing
ahh okay
Tust Jesting. =P
\(\huge\frak\color{blue}{All~that~was~very~technical~xD}\)
ill delete it dont worry
\(\LARGE\LARGE\LARGE\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\)
\(\Large\color{red}{^\heartsuit}\color{gold}{\heartsuit}\color{lime}{_\heartsuit}\color{cyan}{\heartsuit}\color{blue}{^\heartsuit}\)
:o its its its beautiful :D
Haha it is! :3 I'm gonna make more stuff, but first Imma go eat haha, I'll be bak in a bit :p
XD ok
does the thingy work *click here* yet? @Whitemonsterbunny17
Nope
sadly ;~;
Bunny, in one of your replies you did: \(\huge\frak\rlap{\color{black}{\bigstar~You're~Welcome!~\bigstar}}{\color{lime}{\; \bigstar~You're~Welcome!~\bigstar}}\) One problem with \frak is that a lot of the capitol letters are hard to read. \cal and \scr can be used to get around this. Personally I like \cal best for this. \scr can take some negative space fixing. \(\huge\rlap{\color{black}{\bigstar~\cal Y\frak ou're~\cal W\frak elcome!~\bigstar}}{\color{lime}{\; \bigstar~\cal Y\frak ou're~\cal W\frak elcome!~\bigstar}}\) \(\huge\rlap{\color{black}{\bigstar~\scr Y\frak\!\! ou're~\scr W\frak\!\! elcome!~\bigstar}}{\color{lime}{\; \bigstar~\scr Y\frak\!\! ou're~\scr W\frak\!\! elcome!~\bigstar}}\)
Yes, that is very true. I personally like the look of most of the letters in \frak. I do like the idea of changing font of the capital letters. (:
Yah, ower case \frak is fine. It is just the upper that uses some of the Old Gemanic (if I recall) shapes to the letters, which are hard to read these days.
I can read them fine, but I guess other people may have issues. :p I kind of like that old look. :3
No wonder \frak uses that.... Fraktur, it turns out, is an Old Germanic alphabet. LOL! http://www.isragen.org.il/siteFiles/1/383/4682.asp
Hahaha, that's awesome!! XD I wonder what the history of the rest are..
Well, I know some of the stuff has o do with old math symbols, which means a lot of Greek and some Latin.
you can read it because you have probably been using it for awhile bunny
True. It looks \(\frak\color{red}m\color{gold}a\color{lime}g\color{cyan}i\color{blue}c\color{purple}a\color{blueviolet}l\) to me! Especially with the color.. it looks like an old wizard's writing. I like it. (:
it looks really cool to me also
And that's awesome! @e.mccormick The history of writing is actually pretty cool in my opinion.
Too bad MathJax does not support runic fonts. http://www.maths.lth.se/matematiklu/personal/carl/allrunes/allrunes.pdf Go down to the examples in there, about page 9.
Wow, that is amazing!! Such ancient writings, that'd be so cool if we could use them!
but nobody could read them xD
Ah, but for the art or for the ones that look like a character... it could be fun!
yeah it would be good for stuff like that
"Good".. more like AWESOME!!
