The vertices of a triangle are A(–2, 2), B(9, 0), and C(1, –4). If the triangle is a right triangle, which vertex is the right angle?

OpenStudy (midhun.madhu1987):

First calculate the distances AB, BC and AC using the following distance formula: |dw:1406944423411:dw| if AB is the largest side, that is , HYPOTENUSE, then C will be the right angle. if AC is the largest side, that is , HYPOTENUSE, then B will be the right angle. if BC is the largest side, that is , HYPOTENUSE, then A will be the right angle.
