the thing we were on closed. by itself so... sorry about leaving
OpenStudy (phi):
are we done with Q24?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yeah I think we were unless there are more steps to the probem
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Do you mind helping me with two more questions?

please post the question
OpenStudy (anonymous):
OKay thank you
OpenStudy (anonymous):
OpenStudy (anonymous):
What I did with this was use the formula.
2lw+2wh+2lh
And I got a number way off.
OpenStudy (phi):
what numbers did you use for l, w and h?

So this is how my equation looked like.
l= 13.5
w=18
h=7.5
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I got wait... I think I might be right on this one, I got 958.5
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so you round up!
OpenStudy (phi):
yes, and if the tenths place is 5 or bigger, you round up
959
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah!!

Okay this is the last one! thank you for helping me!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So for this one what I did was I SA=LA+B
OpenStudy (anonymous):
S=13
So What I did was just find the base which is 10 *10 and added them together, and got 113 but that isn't a choice.
OpenStudy (phi):
S=13 is the altitude of the triangle (face)
you need the area of the triangle
and there are 4 triangles
OpenStudy (phi):
add a length to an area e.g. 13 + 100 "makes no sense"

OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh, so how would you do this? Find the area of a triangle and then multiply it by how many triangles there are?
OpenStudy (phi):
yes
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay so to find the area of a triangle you use the equation
1/2bh correct
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So the equation would be 1/2(10)(12)
OpenStudy (phi):
the triangle is "tilted" over, but it has a height (from its base up to the top angle) of S=13 (not 12)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh okay, so it would be
65= each triangle
OpenStudy (phi):
yes, and there are 4 triangle sides (and then add the bottom)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So it would be 260+100
OpenStudy (anonymous):
because 10*10=100
OpenStudy (phi):
yes

haha so the answer would be 360! thank you
OpenStudy (anonymous):
have a good night!
