mitosis is a type of a-sexual cell reproduction that occurs in several human cells as well as in other organisms. It requires a single parent cells and produces 2 daughter cells. the two daughter cells are identical to the parent cells and have 46 chromosome (23 pairs) meiosis is a type of sexual reproduction that requires 2 parent cells. the daughter cell has nly half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell.
