EMBRYOLOGY 1) How would you differentiate the blastula stage from the gastrula stage? 2) Why is cell division faster in the animal pole than in the vegetal pole? 3) How does the external gill stage differ from the internal gill stage? 4) What are the major difference between frog embryology and human embryology?
Blastula stage is characterised by the formation of `Blastocoel` and the `blastocyst` while the gastrula stage is characterised by the formation of `Germ Layers`
Animal pole contains less amount of yolk than the vegetal pole hence the division is faster in animal pole than the vegetal pole.
Is the third question related to frog ?
@Abhisar yes sir :)
In early tadpole stages of frog gills are formed outside and is exposed to the environment which makes them get O2 easily from the water. This is `External gill stage`. As tadpole grows into adult frog the gill covers begin to form, eventually completely covering the gills as the lungs develop.
The later stage is called as `Internal Gill Stage`
Getting it ?
@Abhisar yes sir I get it.....Thank you very much sir for helping me :)
Can you find the last one on your own ?
@Abhisar sure no problem sir :)
That's Great ! But in case u get struck at any point then check out \(\href{//biology.stackexchange.com/questions/991/what-are-differences-between-formation-of-embryonic-disc-in-chick-and-mammal-emb}{\sf \large this}\) discussion
