The measures of the angles of a triangle can be represented by the expressions x degrees, quantity of x plus twenty degrees, and two times x degrees. Which word best describes the triangle? The triangle is an acute triangle. The triangle is a right triangle. The triangle is an obtuse triangle. There is not enough information to classify the triangle.

@ImNotGoodAtMath help

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

@ganeshie8 can you help

OpenStudy (abbyrose0105):

acute means lower than 90 degrees, right angle means 90 degrees and obtuse means above 90 degrees but not higher than 180 degrees

OpenStudy (abbyrose0105):

So is this below 90 above 90 or 90 degrees?

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

idk

OpenStudy (abbyrose0105):

There's not enough information unless you know what x equals

OpenStudy (abbyrose0105):

So the answer is there is not enough information to classify the triangle.

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

It doesn`t show anything else.

OpenStudy (abbyrose0105):

The answer for you first question is D

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

i know that is another one

OpenStudy (abbyrose0105):

I'm not very good at solving geometry problems I THINK I know what it is but I don't want to give you the wrong answer...

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

ok

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

i am still here

OpenStudy (imnotgoodatmath):

Its a triangle so all the angles have to add up to 180 degrees so x + (x + 20) + 2x = 180 which is the same as 4x + 20 = 180 therefore 4x = 160 from that you can get x = 40, since the biggest angle is 2x which is 80 degrees the triangle has to be acute
