Factoring help needed!! Please!!!
\[x^2+17x+30\]
ok , so u need two numbers that there sum is 17 and there multiplicatin is 30 :D what do u think ?
Umm Same numbers for each. Right?
mmm not really its like a guessing game :) first find two numbers a,b such that ab=30
Well. I have all the factors of 30 but none of them equal 17.
no no ok 30 =30*1 but 30+1=31 30=6*5 but 6+5 =11 30=3 * 10 but 3+10 30=15*2 15+2=17 see we need the sum of factors =17 not the factors them selves , got it now :o
Ok. Yes. Makes sense. May I finish it up and see what I get?
sure ^^ show me what u got
(x+15)(x+2) is that correct?
yep :)
\(\checkmark \)
Hahha!!:D Ok Thanx:)

:O OMG. That's soooo pretty:)
ikr xD
What about this kind? \[x^2-13x+36\] I know it's 4 and 9. Not sure which ones negative though.
nvm. I got it. They're both negativesxD
well 36=4*9 and 4+9=13 now check sighns 4+9\(\neq -13\) -4+9\(\neq -13\) 4-9\(\neq -13\) -4-9\(=- 13\)
yeah ur correct :) but wait ,for the first one u gave factors of 2,15 but in factors of function u put - instead of + so its (x-2)(x-15) nw tell me for x^2-13x+36 how it should be like ?
(x-4)(x-9)
Lol. You mean (x+2)(x+15) Not -?
wait im soryy lol a bit sleepy ignore what i said
ur 100% correct xD
lol. haahahaha!! get some sleep:) It's ok though:) Everyone makes mistakes anyways.
XD. OK:) Makes me feel smart now:)
yes you are smart ;)
Not in every situation thoughxD
You're even *smarter*!!!:D
well i found you very smart =) and haha dnt compare :P i sometimes get buncked :P
