The drumof a washing machine rotates about a horizontal axis with constant angular velocity w.The radius of the drum is r.When a piece of laundry of weight W is at the highest point P of the circular motion the force exerted by the drum on the laundry is R1.The force is R2 when the laundry is at the lowest point Q.
