Can someone help me set this problem up ?? Macy purchased a box of cereal that contained 567 grams of cereal. Each day, she ate 52 grams for breakfast. Write a sequence to show how much cereal she had left after each of the 4 days.

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

each day she had 52 grams less so we have the sequence 567 , 567-52, 567 - 2(52), 567 - 3(52) this is an arithmetic sequence with common difference 52

OpenStudy (uri):

you have to keep subtracting 52 every day and that's how you get the sequence.

OpenStudy (larseighner):

each term is 567-n(52) starting with n=0

OpenStudy (larseighner):

\[\large \sum_{n=0} 567- n(52) \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

567-52 , 515-52, 463-53 and so onn right?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes - if the 52 g is eaten on the first day

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

463 - 52 on 3rd day and 411 - 52 on 4th day

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok Thanks Now In Understand Cause U Would Have To Subtract 52 Every time you get the difference until you get to the 4th day

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes
