When a figure is translated on a coordinate grid, what conclusion can you draw from the pre-image and image?

If the figure is merely translated, meaning it is congruent to the original figure, then you take a point from the pre-image and find the corresponding point to it on the the after-image. You can determine from the change in x and y coordinates what vector/direction it moved along.
