Separate water tanks are used to prevent radiation leaking to the outside environment. In most nuclear reactors, the moderator is water, and the coolant is also water. Coolant water is never allowed to mix with moderator water. This is true. > A mixture of two types of uranium is used to prevent an explosion. Uranium enrichment transforms the non-fissile U-238 obtained from mining, into fissile U-235. About 3% U-235 is enough for a nuclear reactor, so it is allowed to remain mixed with the other 97% of U-238. If the fuel were enriched to a nearly pure state, such as the 90% U-235 found in nuclear weapons, critical mass would quickly be reached, resulting in a nuclear explosion. This is true.
