That the Third Estate declared itself a National Assembly, and would not separate until France had a constitution. The vow was not made by the National Assembly. The Third Estate solemnly swore they would not disband until they were recognised as a National Assembly and a constitution was drawn up and accepted by King Louis XVI. They vowed not to part or disband until they had written a Constitution.
