Solve for y?

Yes

So if I want to make -5/9 y = y what would I do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide -5/9 by Y

I have to go bye thanks

Close if you have -5/9y and divide it by -5/9. Well -5/9 divided by -5/9 =1 so you are left with y. Now what every you do to one side of the equation you MUST do to the other side. So if you divide -30 by -5/9 you will end up with the value for y.
