you know that Ddel cuts normal DNA but not mutant (i.e. mutant will be a longer strand). you also know that the gel separates strand by size, where a longer strand migrates shorter distance under the electric field (this is because the charge is uniform through out the strand). |dw:1407187739424:dw|
