Help please How to express f(x) = 2^2-4x-7 in the form f(x) = a(x+b)^2 + c. hence find the minimum value of f(x)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well start by grouping things \[f(x) = (2x^2 - 4x + 2) - 9\] take 2 out as a common factor \[f(x) = 2(x^2 - 2x+ 1) - 9\] factor the quadratic... hope it helps
