Find S(subscript)25 for -7+ -2 + 3 + 8 +... @Hero

hero (hero):

Use the arthimetic formula for sequence. You already know the value of d.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure how to do that... Math is not my strongest subject.

hero (hero):

1. Write the arithmetic formula for sequence: \(a_n = a_1 + (n - 1)d\) 2. Input the value of \(d\) (the difference between consecutive terms) 3. Input the value of \(a_1\) (the first term of the sequence) 4. You're looking for \(a_{25}\) (the 25th term of the sequence) so \(n = 25\). 5. Compute the value of \(a_{25}\)

hero (hero):

@yowzaman how's it going?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I was eating dinner.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 113.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero

hero (hero):

Would you mind showing the work you did to get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a(subscript)25=-7+(25-1)5

hero (hero):

Okay, that looks right.

So 113 is my answer?
