that means that if you fall into huge gas ball you won't get harm. it is the second law of newton: \[F = ma = \frac{ \Delta P }{ \Delta t }\] when there is sudden stop the the acceleration is too high , so the force is also high. when there is sudden stop the time required to change the momentum is so low,so you will get huge force.
