in a class of 100 students, 55 students have passed maths and 67 students passed in physics. then find no. of students who have passed in physics only?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not enough information... Suppose that all students that have passed math have also passed physics. It then stands to reason that 12 students have passed only math. Now look at it from this aspect...all students have passed at least one course. So 55 passed math, 45 passed physics, and 22 have passed both. Not enough information to satisfactorily answer the question

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, you could answer with a range. Removal of minimum to maximum overlap.
