Medal for help ?
Whatcha need help with? :3 :D
Which exponential function goes through the points (1, 16) and (4, 128)? f(x) = 4(4)x f(x) = 8(2)x f(x) = 8(2)-x f(x) = 4(4)-x
Oh, I can't help you with this. I'm sorry. :( @ganeshie8 may be able to, though!
Thanks :)
@ganeshie8 can you help
@jadee27p How these functions are exponential ?
what
There is no exponential terms.
There has to be or the question wouldnt make sense
Yes I am saying this thing. Where is your exponential term in the given functions?
It is B my friend
Thats what i needed help with.
how?
Here's how: you start with general exponential function y=a(bx) plug in the given points for x,y a∗b=16 a∗b4=128 solve for a,b by substitution from 1st equation, solve for a a=16b sub into 2nd equation 16b∗b4=128 solve for b 16b3=128 b3=8 b=2 plug back in to get a a=162=8 y=8(2x)
Done!
wow thanks, can you check 3 that i already did?
Ok

Brenda made cheesecakes every weekend. The more cheesecakes she made, the more practice she gained. The time she took to make the same amount of cheesecake every week decreased with practice. The function below shows the number of hours f(x) Brenda took to make a cheesecake after she had made it x times. f(x) = 4(0.5)x Which graph best represents the function? graph of function f of x equals 4 multiplied by 0.5 to the power of x graph of function f of x equals 0.5 multiplied by 4 to the power of x graph of function f of x equals 0.5 to the power of x graph of function f of x equals 4 to the power of x
D
Correct
Evaluate. fifth root of 8 multiplied by square root of 8 over cube root of 8 to the power of 5 8 to the power of negative 3 over 10 8 to the power of negative 41 over 30 8 to the power of negative 29 over 30 8 to the power of 71 over 30
B
Simplify. square root of 7 over fourth root of 7 7 to the power of negative 3 over 4 7 to the power of 1 over 4 7 to the power of 3 over 4 7
chose D for this one
The function f(x) = (1.008735)12x models the monthly interest that a bank offers to Dan after x years. Dan converts the function to have x isolated in the exponent. What is the approximate rate of growth? 11% 12% 13% 14% I was thinking this as B but I'm doubting it. @Broskishelleh
11% a
