−2−x≥−1 notice -x can cause trouble. Add +x to both sides -2 - x + x ≥ -1 + x -x +x is 0 -2 +0 ≥ -1 + x and -2 + 0 is just -2 -2 ≥ -1 + x now add +1 to both sides 1-2 ≥ 1 - 1 + x which simplifies to -1 ≥ x or x≤ -1 (notice the pointy end always is next to the x when we swap order) to write the answer you write { } braces, and put an x in them { x } then you add the condition separated by a | { x | x≤ -1 }
