The following set of coordinates represents which figure? (3, -5), (5, -2), (10, -4), (8, -7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) Parallelogram 2) Rectangle 3) Rhombus 4) Square

OpenStudy (mrnood):

|dw:1407275574867:dw| You need to check which sides are parallel by calculating their slope from the coordinates of the endpoints.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rectangle?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I don't know - but I can guess just as well as you did. Work out which sides are parallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got different number for all sides

OpenStudy (mrnood):

all the answers have parallel sides - so you must have made a mistake. You also need the length of each side. OR - plot it out more accurately on graph paper or however you choose

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rhombus

OpenStudy (mrnood):

a rhombus has 4 equal sides - are all these sides equal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait since adjacent sides are not perpendicular then square

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I don't get the feeling you have made any attempt to analyse these poits

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Parallelogram

OpenStudy (mrnood):

congratulations! you have now guessed ALL FOUR answers. One of them is correct. DO SOME CALCULATION on side length - or draw it accurately

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol I did and got sides wrong by doing slope and got different numbers
