This is a philosophical Question. Not all people believe that hell or heaven exist, but according to what I believe (as an Orthodox Jew) people go to hell much more (unfortunately).

Whether it is bad to be atheist no one can say, religious people believe that it's bad, whereas not god-believing people think that this is the only making-sense way of thinking (about the existence of G-d).

Last question you posted... no one can answer it for sure. I ca give an advice to try to change yourself to the better.
BUT don't try to change from being very bad (to suddenly being) very very good.

Well, it might also depend on the parents, some parents would understand and some parents would get very angry, or very upset/ despaired .

I would just wait to see what happens after you become a self sufficient person.
To say some things on openstudy is one thing, and your relation with parents is a totally other thing.

gahm, this depends on how and whom you are praying.
(I'll say this, since we are already talking about this), according to my believes (and I am an Orthodox Jew) if someone is (for example) Christian or of any other religion, and he truly believes in it and fulfills all (or at least mostly obeys the commandments, whatever they are) he deserves a reward. (I think I already said something similar)

Praying will sometimes help, but times it won't. It is not a tool of getting whatever you want, you know ? ...

I can tell you one thing for sure though, start changing to the better (not only by doing better things, but also by NOT doing BAD things) and lately your life will get better.

(No I am not convincing you to believe in anything, whatever you think is good and bad)
